So Nice To See You (single 2023)

about

I started writing this song in the Holiday season of 2022, when it was the first time in a couple of years that people felt comfortable getting together again after COVID. I didn't finish it and record it until 2023. I like the idea of putting out an unconventional "Holiday" song that offers a different take on the season.

lyrics

So nice to see you
I've missed you my friend
The years have been longer
Than we would have guessed
And now that we're here
For these holidays
Time can pass slowly
As we celebrate

For all of the days that went missing
For memories that carried us through
Take in the moments in front of us now
The joy of the season and wishes come true
Are all of the reasons to be here with you

Gather the children
Let's tell some old tales
Of magical sleigh rides
And ringing of bells
So good to narrate
These stories again
In this room together
Where traditions begin

For all of the days that went missing
For memories that carried us through
Take in the moments in front of us now
The joy of the season and wishes come true
Are all of the reasons to be here with you

For all of the days that went missing
For memories that carried us through
Take in the moments in front of us now
The joy of the season and wishes come true
Are all of the reasons to be here with you

For all of the days that went missing
For memories that carried us through
Take in the moments in front of us now
The joy of the season and wishes come true
Are all of the reasons to be here with you
